Our TAMOTO lifestyle shop is located in the Teramachi area, south of the Kyoto Imperial Palace in Kyoto City.

Nearby are antique shops, antique art stores, galleries, the long-established confectionery shop "Murakami Kaishindo" and the long-established tea shop "Ippodo Tea Shop Main Store". Our store is located in a charming 100-year-old Kyoto townhouse and operates as a three-industry complex that also operates the kimono rental salon "UME SAKUR" and the American sandwich store "SUBS sandwich store".

TAMOTO lifestyle shop, a select shop for tableware and tableware, will open in the fall of 2024.

The owner of the store originally worked as a kimono manufacturer, where he has been creating products for many years, and has accumulated a wealth of sensibility and experience from creating over several thousand original products by repeatedly thinking up patterns and color combinations from scratch. Our staff, who work both at the TAMOTO lifestyle shop and the kimono salon, also have sensibilities and experience cultivated over many years as kimono stylists who suggest the best coordination to suit the tastes and atmosphere of over a thousand different customers at the kimono salon every year. These are the foundations that connect to everything we do.

The owner was raised under a mother who loved cooking and tableware, and in an environment where he valued both taste and sight, selecting from a wide range of tableware to match dishes and sweets. Therefore, he was excited to start TAMOTO lifestyle shop, not as a store that sells crafts or art, nor as a gallery, but as a shop that selects and sells tableware and tableware to be used as tools in everyday life.
